Getting the party started

On Tuesday, 22 March 2011 we publically launched a little charitable trust at Smith Bar in Britomart, Auckland. Surrounded by our favourite friends and family we briefly presented the story behind the charity.

Our presentation was essentially broken down into two problems and two solutions.

  • Bolivia is poor and opportunities for youth are limited; we’ve seen a project that works and is making a little difference in the lives of vulnerable youth in Cochabamba.
  • This project, Performing Life, needs to focus on effectively working with the kids; we’ll focus on fundraising and calling for donors to financially strengthen their services.

In short, a little charitable trust financially supports Performing Life’s work which enables the children of Cochabamba, Bolivia to have a better future through the arts. We have started this charitable trust to build on the 10 months we spent volunteering in Bolivia.  The a little charitable trust is based on the principles of transparency and accountability in everything we do with 100% of the donations received going straight to Bolivia.

We’re excited that this can make a little difference.
